When I was a kid, I always wanted a Mark 1 or 2 Ford Escort. I had posters of them all over my bedroom wall. I had the opportunity to photograph an immaculate, concours condition rally car for Weir Rallying UK in Chepstow.

Weir Rallying is a newly formed British rallying team made up of Team Principal Rob Weir, Co-driver Ross Weir, and Driver Rallying champion Dave Jenkins.

I was invited into their secret unit and they unveiled not only the car in the photos, but two others. I felt like a kid who had won the lottery and it was a pretty incredible experience to photograph the car and the team members. An even nicer experience to get to sit in them. Boys and their toys eh?
